Nomination for appointment to SAHCA Committee
We are now inviting applications for SAHCA members working as either criminal or civil advocates (or both) to join the SAHCA Committee.
As you will know, SAHCA is the independent association representing all solicitor-advocates practising in England & Wales. The SAHCA Committee seeks to promote solicitor-advocates and its work involves representing SAHCA members, responding to consultations, arranging training and events, managing SAHCA’s finance and developing its strategy.
The Committee meets once a month, generally in central London, although attendance is also by conference call for those where travel can be impractical for particular meetings. Committee members are asked to attend meetings regularly and to actively contribute to committee work. All reasonable travel costs are paid to committee members for attending SAHCA meetings.
Appointments to the Committee are made at the AGM.
If you wish to nominate yourself for the SAHCA committee, please do so by email with:
a) a brief biography (no more than 500 words), and;
b) a short note on the contribution you consider that you can make to the SAHCA Committee (e.g. any specialist area of work)
Nominations should be submitted via e-mail by 5.00 pm on Sunday 30.09.17 and sent to Emma Richmond-Coggan at email@example.com
We do hope that you consider applying to become a SAHCA Committee and look forward to receiving your nomination. If you wish to discuss the possibility of joining, the committee please let us know by email and a member of the Committee will get in touch.
