Essential Civil Trial Advocacy Course – West London

This course is specifically designed for those practicing in the civil courts and is based on a civil case study and includes aspects of written advocacy as well as oral advocacy.
The course will cover how to prepare a case using case analysis and case theory, the essentials of amplification of a witness statement previously served, cross-examination and re-examination.The main emphasis will be to ensure that delegates practice these skills in small groups led by an experienced advocacy trainer.
Additionally, there will be a focus on the preparation of skeleton submissions to be placed before the Judge prior to a hearing commencing and consideration of the closing submissions to the Judge.
There will be practical exercises based on a civil case study sent to delegates with instructions for advance preparation.
The CPD hours includes the preparation time.
The course fee includes all documentation, refreshments and cold buffet lunch.
